Why I started this blog

I made a deal with myself in late 2006: Get under 160 pounds (from over 190) and ride existing bikes 2000 miles and I would treat myself to a new bike. This blog was to chart my journey.

I'm under 150 pounds now, and I made my mileage goal. Read this entry for more details then you need. See this for my new bike and even newer, way cool bike. and now, and even newer cool bike!
